“The grand show is eternal. It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never dried all at once; a shower is forever falling; vapor is ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal dawn and gloaming, on sea and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls.” ~ John Muir

Eternal. We tend to think of time as linear, each moment living, then dying, never to be experienced again. Yet Einstein proved the fallacy of this concept. Time and space are interwoven, with all time existing at the same time. Each is dependent upon the other for its existence. If a moment in time ceases to exist, then a piece of the universe ceases to exist too. Since the latter is not true, we should contemplate time as eternal with each moment living forever.
John Muir’s observation on the eternal earth reflects this reality. Never does the sun truly set nor the moon truly rise. Instead, they appear in our sky as circular, cyclic inspirations that revolve around our earth. Our senses misinterpret cosmic movements just as they misinterpret time — and misinterpret the nature of the Divine.
Thousands of years of patriarchy have denied the existence of the sacred feminine, yet She persists through the ages. Today’s women are embracing Her once again, following their natural path back to Divine Love via images and concepts that embrace the sacred feminine.
Many have dedicated their lives to recovering Her myths in patriarchal texts, but it is a tedious and possibly futile task. In these tomes, Her spiritual history has been deleted and cast aside by one editor after another. It is remarkable that these talented researchers can find even a few glimpses of Her among those ancient pages.
But Her rich fullness is not found in the dust of legends. We experience her Wisdom daily. She inspires us with our every breath. We believe She approves of our quest to find her by looking forward at the same time we look back, by creating original concepts even as we struggle to revamp the old. To all who seek Her, She shines openly in all Her radiant glory.
As the steward of nature, the sacred feminine shares nature’s cyclic and circular rhythms, as do earthly women. We whirl through the universe, our feminine nature bathed in the rhythms of the lunar tides and the sea’s restless cycles. Water rises as steam from the sea. It falls as rain on the land, then flows unerringly back to the sea. It persists on its natural journey, flowing over, under, around or through all obstacles. Water nurtures life and beauty on each leg of its eternal journey.
Because of this circular, cyclic rhythm, the serpent swallowing its tail is a popular symbol of the sacred feminine. It represents the continuing circle of life and death. Life begins, is played out and death occurs, only for rebirth to begin life again. In each cycle, our understanding of life deepens and broadens, eventually moving into the realm of profound understanding and, hopefully, wisdom. Wisdom is our common root of many names for the Goddess. It is her Celestial Wisdom we seek when we aspire to enhanced understanding of the cosmos.
We only have to look at the eternal beauty of Nature to be blessed by the Goddess. Each day, life’s pleasures swarm around us. Gaia provides us with with passion and pleasure through each of our senses, including our intuition. She approaches us with infinite variety, known by a thousand names and expressed in a million disguises.
The Purpose of Celestial Wisdom:
- To rejoice in our deep, spiritual feminine nature
- To reveal the Celestial Wisdom of the Sacred Feminine
- To celebrate, honor and nurture feminine spiritual diversity
- To create a safe place to examine our relationship with Divine Love
- To embrace life-affirming concepts contained within the Sacred Feminine
- To claim our spiritual rights, the feminine divine and women’s inherent divine legacy
- To create an ever deepening understanding of and experience with the Feminine Divine
- To heal the world and our Selves by walking a new path to empower the sacred feminine within.
